Parlour Magic

Parlour magic is the oldest and most intimate form of theatrical magic — performed not on a stage with spotlights and trapdoors, but in a room, for a seated audience, close enough to hear the performer breathe.

It demands a different level of skill than stage magic. There is nowhere to hide. No distance to exploit. What you see is exactly what is in front of you — and yet somehow, impossibly, it doesn't add up.

The Living Room at the Tranzac Club is perfectly suited to this tradition. It is warm, it is intimate, and it holds exactly the right number of people. Not so few that the evening feels sparse; not so many that you feel like you are watching from the back of a theatre. You will have a genuine view of everything. That is both the promise and the point.
